ABB empower Quote provides both ABB internal users and external users the ability to fully configure a project quote. This getting started guide will help users access and navigate the product selectors that are available to them.

  • Accessing Product Selectors ... use the Add New Item menu on the quote details screen to access individual product selectors.

  • Screen Overview ... get an overview of the screen design for empower product selectors.

empower's product selectors are accessed through the Add New Item menu of a quote. Here users will find all products they have access to filter and select.

Tip: different empower profiles have different product selectors access. If you don't see a product listed, reach out to your local account rep.

Launch Product Selectors

  1. Click the Add New Item button on the quote details page

  2. Select the Selectors button from the pop-up window (selected by default)

  3. Choose the individual product to configure

The overall experience of the selectors will remain consistent as you interact with each product selector. The main sections have been highlighted below.

Screen Overview

  1. Selector Menu: use this function to copy or create multiple line items directly within the selector without having to exit back to the main Quote Details page each time.

  2. Navigation Button: here you will find the Close button to return to the Quote Details page.

  3. Filter Options: here you can make selections to filter down the possible catalog numbers to fit your needs.

  4. Quantity: change the quantity to be added to a quote

  5. Add: Add the selected catalog number to a quote

  6. Catalog Summary: get a quick summary of the catalog number.

  2. Info: here you can find the catalog number, short description and long description.

  3. Specifications: here you can view specifications for this catalog number

  4. Publications: available drawings and publications can be found here.
